My Snoring Wakes My Partner

Posted on: 08.12.13 By Dr. Lee Ann Brady

snore-stopSnoring is very common and we all do it from time to time. Snoring that wakes up your partner and makes them move into another bedroom is problematic. It is important to talk to a professional about your snoring and determine the cause and if you have sleep apnea. One of the first things you will be asked is whether or not you feel rested on a routine basis. A hallmark of sleep apnea is not feeling rested no matter how many hours you sleep. You may find you wake up feeling tired or are tired and falling asleep during the day.

Sleep apnea can have very serious medical side effects. It may turn out to be a good thing that you were waking your partner and they nagged you to do something about your snoring!
